| Uses: Used to prepare rare earth crystal laser materials, up-conversion luminescent materials, fluoride glass optical fibers and fluoride optically active glass. Used in the lighting source to manufacture arc lamp carbon electrodes. It is the raw material for preparing metal yttrium by electrolysis. |
